Garry Fearn, currently chief executive of MMA Insurance, is to take on a new role as executive deputy chairman of Covéa Insurance.
Effective from September, Fearn, pictured, will be reporting to and working closely with the chairman and board.
Graham Doswell, chairman, commented: "Garry is one of the UK general insurance market's longest serving CEOs.
"The board joins me in thanking him for his leadership and for his major contribution to the first class track record achieved by MMA Insurance during his tenure.
"Being able to retain Garry's experience and expertise in the role of executive deputy chairman will be beneficial to Covéa Insurance during an exciting period of change and growth across its UK operations."
